Common Questions
Q: What is Industrial Rope Access?

A: Industrial Rope access refers to a set of techniques where ropes and specialized equipment are used for tall work as the primary method to provide access and support to workers in high or hard-to-reach places. A two-rope system is used: the working rope provides access and support for the worker and the back-up rope provides an independent safety system.

Q: Why is Rope Access a better solution in height than scaffolding or platforms?

A: This question is constantly asked to us and the answer is simple: mainly because our team can reach where scaffolding workers can never reach.
Also scaffolding has a natural feature of being inconvenient. They block roads, sidewalks, entrances and exits as well as ruin the view. We can not move or dismantle them temporarily, they are always on the road all the time. With rope access, we can reach anywhere because there is nothing (literally) to stop us. We do not cause disturbances and we go "almost" unnoticed.
We are cheaper and faster. The day we arrived is the day we started work. As soon as we finished the work, we fixed the ropes and voila. We do not have a lot of equipment to assemble and dismount. Everything we bring is tied to us as well as our vehicle. We simply appear on the spot, fasten the ropes and material ourselves with specialized equipment and put hands-on.

Q: What are the benefits of Rope Access?

A: There are many benefits to Rope Access. Unlike traditional access methods, custom chord access can be and adjusted to numerous structures. Among other benefits, Rope Access is:

  • Versatile - Professionals abseilers can apply the technique to a wide variety of buildings and structures in any environment, from confined spaces in forced conduits, to towers and complex steel structures.

  • Cost-effective - Rope Access is very economical. Because less staff can complete the work in less time, which means that there is no wasted time in assembling and disassembling, which in practice means lower.

  • Cost Efficient and fast - Rope Access systems are installed and disassembled quickly and require fewer staff than Traditional methods of access. Less time in assembly and dismantling means less unnecessary work and less downtime than the work itself.

  • Aesthetic aspect - the techniques of Rope Access and its equipment have a minimal effect on the environment from aesthetic and practical point of view compared with traditional access methods.

  • Safe - the techniques of Rope Access are certified internationally and our Abseilers are professionals trained by IRATA. We respect and maintain an exceptional safety record that makes industrial Rope Access one of the safest jobs in the entire construction industry.
